The February edition of the Journal is now available.

Changes to the trade mark and design journal information

With the release of the case management system for trade marks and designs, the Intellectual Property Office of NZ (IPONZ) is making changes to the trade marks and designs journal.

From February 2012, trade mark and design journal information is completely online.

What do the changes look like?

When you select either the trade mark or designs section you will be taken to the new Search Publications form.

You can also navigate to the journal from the left hand menu bar when logged in.

To search the journal:

1. In the Case Type field, select the type of case you would like to search.

2. Select the Journal Section from the drop down list.

3. Enter the journal publication date range in the Published fields, then select Search.
   
   All the information for that category advertised in the period selected will be displayed on screen. 

4. If you would like an excel list of these results. Select Send Results List and complete the fields then Continue. The PDF result will give an alternative more detailed extract of all information on each IP.
   
   Result: Your report will be delivered. 

Subscriptions

For a more active monitoring of the register, the IPONZ system allows users to request notifications of any changes. Select My Subscriptions from the left hand navigation bar once you have logged in. You can subscribe to changes for specific cases, or trade marks that cover specific goods and services.
