The Patent Office is declared closed on Friday 10 February 2012 in preparation for its new case management system for trade marks and designs going live the following Monday 13 February 2012.

During the closed day you will be able to use the following services on the IPONZ website:

• Read IPONZ website articles and content
• Search for IPONZ website content
• Search for Plant Variety Rights

The following IPONZ Online Services will not be available:

• Search for trade marks, designs and patents
• Search for the Online Journal
• Request for public information
• Apply for Search and Preliminary Advice, trade mark, design and patent rights
• Submit correspondence for trade mark, design and patent applications
• Renew trade mark, design and patent rights

As the Office is closed, no filings will be accepted by any other method. The office will be open for receipt of filings in normal business hours on Monday 13 February.

If the deadline for filing an application or document falls on this closed day, then the application or document can be filed on the next day when IPONZ is open, and will be deemed to have been filed in time. Read more on closed day notice.
