Enhancements to IPONZ’s Case Management System

Enhancements to IPONZ’s case management system for designs and trade marks effective today are as follows:

Enhancements to the Maintain screens

Enhancements have been made to make recording changes easier. We have simplified the following services and screens:

1. Change of ownership (assignment)

You can now record a new owner and notify us that you will act on behalf of the new owner at the same time.

2. Change of agent

You can now easily record the new agent or remove yourself as agent for the mark.

3. Request to divide or partial change of ownership

You can now easily divide an application into two or more and assign some of those applications to another owner. At the same you will have an ability to upload proof of the change such as a sale and purchase agreement.

Introducing a new task for proceedings – Pay Fee

A new task has been created for the proceeding process to allow the appropriate party to make the payment for the hearing fee.

The Hearings Office will generate the task and assign it to the party to make the payment online.

This will make it simpler to administer the hearing process.
