Trade mark practice guideline change - Monaco marks

The practice of treating Monaco marks ("MONACO", "Principality of Monaco", “Principauté de Monaco” and “Palis de Monaco") as protected marks has been reviewed by the Office. We consider there is now no legal basis for raising this objection and have deleted the paragraph that was previously listed under 05 Absolute grounds distinctiveness - Section 18 of the Trade Marks Act 2002/ 4.4.3 Monaco.
