Online renewal changes – patents and designs

We have improved the online patent and design renewal service so that you can now file a renewal fee for a lapsed patent or design subject to a restoration application.

How does it work?

The change simplifies the restoration process by allowing you to enter the number of the IP you wish to renew and restore, through the online renewal service. The Process Renewal option appears for patents and designs where a restoration application has been received.
