Patents online correspondence improvements
In response to client requests we have made the following changes to improve the patents online correspondence service:
- Included form numbers as part of the correspondence descriptions. For example ‘Amendments to Specification (Voluntary Amendments)’ is now noted with its appropriate form number 43;
- Changed the correspondence descriptions. For example ‘Response to Examination report’ is now called ‘Correspondence to Examiner’ so that it captures all correspondence to an examiner including a response to an examination report, IPERs, ISRs and general PCT documents;
- Introduced a new correspondence document option. A new option, ‘Hearing Submissions’ is now available online for filing written submissions for hearings;
- Reordered the online correspondence pick list to make it easier to select the appropriate nature of correspondence; and
- Created a Fact Sheet to help determine which nature of correspondence to select.
What do the improvements look like?
