Proposal for trans-Tasman Regulation of Patent Attorneys

Today Commerce Minister Simon Power and Australian Innovation Minister Senator Kim Carr released a discussion paper on proposed changes to the patent attorney profession.

The discussion paper outlines a trans-Tasman regulatory framework with a single governance body responsible for patent attorney registration, training and disciplinary standards across Australia and New Zealand.
