PVR is going online in December 2012
4 October 2012
IPONZ is releasing PVR into its online case management system in December 2012.
This will complete the staged release of IPONZ's new online system, which began with the successful release of trade marks and designs earlier this year.
The case management system is an easy to use web-based user interface. It is a single place for you to search, apply for, correspond and manage all of your PVR cases with IPONZ.
The system has been implemented in line with Government’s stated goals for modern public services to reduce compliance costs and to help build a stronger and more competitive New Zealand economy.
What does this mean for you?
- For the first time, you will be able to manage all of your PVR cases online via the IPONZ website.
- You will receive all correspondence electronically, no more paper.
- You will have your own personal user inbox where you can manage your PVR applications, making it much easier to monitor their progress.
- You will be in charge of your own information, including the ability to update your contact details.

- Closer to the release date, we will provide instructions on how to set up your account to use the system, and to link to your existing PVR cases.
- There is no need to logon to search the PVR register.
