Trade mark practice guideline changes for division
4 September 2012
The Trade Mark practice guidelines for division have been updated.
Among the updates, the guidelines confirm that when an application is divided to overcome an objection the goods and/or services to which the objection relates must remain with the parent application. The other goods and/or services that are not subject to the objection can be divided into a new child application, which can then proceed to acceptance.
