The Journal

The New Zealand Patent Office Journal is produced by IPONZ on a monthly basis and contains a range of valuable information including:

Patent, trade mark and design applications and registrations

Each journal has a searchable index along with action relating to patent, trade mark and designs. Specifically:

  • details of patent applications
  • accepted trade marks and the abridgement and drawing(s) of accepted patent applications. The advertising of acceptances in the Journal signals the beginning of the period where oppositions to grant or registration can be filed
  • registered patents, trade marks and designs
