Maintenance of an international registration, such as recording changes of holder names, changes of ownership, renewal and cancellation for example, is possible by communicating with WIPO directly.

Abeyance

Where an application is awaiting the outcome of opposition proceedings for a prior application, or cancellation/revocation/invalidity proceedings in respect of a prior registration, the holder must notify the IPONZ before the expiry of the deadline to respond to the Provisional Refusal.

Upon verification of the facts, IPONZ will place the application in abeyance pending the outcome of the proceedings.
