13. Series mark
This document provides guidelines on whether an application for registration of more than one trade mark meets the criteria for a series of trade marks set out in the Trade Marks Act 2002. In providing these general guidelines, IPONZ hopes to assist those who are considering applying for several marks in the one application to determine whether the application is likely to qualify as a series application. These Guidelines do not constrain the judgement and discretion of the Commissioner of Trade Marks, and each application will be considered on its own merits.
