Where an application is made on paper, the Commissioner will accept any manner of written communication that contains the mandatory filing requirements under the Act. IPONZ has provided an example of the application form in the Practice Guidelines to Filing a Trade Mark Application.8 The form simply illustrates one format and is not the only format that will be acceptable.
