3. Application for rectification of a registered trade mark

An application to rectify a registered trade mark must be made in writing. The Commissioner will accept any manner of written communication that contains the mandatory filing requirements under the Act. IPONZ has provided an example of an application form in the Appendix. The form simply illustrates one format and is not the only format that will be acceptable.
There are no fees for filing an application to rectify a registered trade mark.
