Madrid Infographic for 2014

9 September 2015

IPONZ has updated its Madrid infographic to reflect 2014 International Trade Mark figures.

The infographic provides an overview of countries New Zealand businesses are choosing to expand into using the Madrid system.

Changes from 2013 are:

  • The number of New Zealand businesses using the Madrid System has increased from 279 to 340 international applications;
  • India has knocked the UK out of the top 10 designated countries;
  • Books and Instructional Materials have fallen out of the top 5 classes, to be replaced by Entertainment, Sporting and Training Services. This is due to companies like Les Mills being high users of the Madrid system.
