MBIE would like to know about your experiences with our operational processes for Plant Variety Rights.

The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) would like to know about your experiences applying for, and maintaining, Plant Variety Rights.

This is an opportunity to have your say on processes that are working well, as well as any issues you might have encountered. The information collected in this survey will inform our administrative review, which may result in amendments to provisions in the Plant Variety Rights Act 1987 and Plant Variety Rights Regulations 1988.

This survey focuses mainly on operational processes under the Act and Regulations. It is parallel to MBIE's existing review of the Plant Variety Rights Act 1987, which aims to align our regime with existing international agreements and maintain consistency with the Treaty of Waitangi.

The survey only takes approximately five minutes to complete, and is open until 5:00pm on Tuesday 13 August 2019.

How can we make it easier to apply for and manage plant variety rights?

If you have any questions about this survey, please email ServiceDesignPolicy@mbie.govt.nz.
