IPONZ’s office will be closed for business on Monday, 26 September 2022 in commemoration of Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Day.
Our website and online services will remain available throughout this period.
If the deadline for filing an application or document falls on a day when the Office is closed, then the application or document can be filed on the next day when the Office is open. If this is the case, the application or document will be deemed to have been filed on time.
Applications and documents submitted online when the Office is closed will receive the next working day as their official filing date.

Please note that for patents and trade marks, it is mandatory to communicate with IPONZ using our online case management facility. Communications received outside the case management facility will not be considered valid unless exceptional circumstances exist.
